About Couples Therapy
Every relationship hits difficult periods. Some couples arrive in crisis; others notice a slow, quiet drift and want to address it before it becomes entrenched.
Couples therapy offers a structured space to understand what is happening between you, to speak and be heard, and to find a way forward, whether together or separately.
Why Language Matters in Therapy
There is no single reason people seek help. Common reasons include:
Communication breakdown and arguments that go in circles
Infidelity or a breach of trust
Intimacy difficulties, emotional or physical
Feeling like flatmates rather than partners
Disagreements about children, finances, or life direction
One or both partners feeling unheard or unseen
Navigating cultural or family differences
Deciding whether to stay together or separate
You do not need to be in crisis to benefit. Many couples come as a form of investment in the relationship, before problems become fixed.
How It Works
Sessions last 80 minutes, longer than individual therapy to give both partners space to speak. They take place weekly, in person in West Ealing or online via secure video.
The first session covers your relationship history, what has brought you to therapy, and what each of you hopes for.
Both partners are invited to speak without judgement.
From there, the work is shaped around your specific situation.
This might mean exploring communication patterns, working through a breach of trust, rebuilding intimacy, or clarifying what each of you needs.
Sessions are £170.
What We Can Work On Together
Relationships do not exist in isolation. Family background, cultural expectations, and what you witnessed growing up all shape how you show up as a partner.
Angie brings particular sensitivity to couples navigating cultural differences, intercultural relationships, and the pressures that Asian family expectations can place on a partnership.
Sessions are available in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, or a natural mix across all three.
